Day 4 was completely dominated by India and now they are all set for 3-0 lead in series. Indian captain lead from the front and scored his 3rd double century to put India into driving position. In the morning session England was wicket less where Jayant and Kohli continued their partnership to strengthen up the lead. They added 128 runs in the first session to take India’s overall lead to 179.
In the second session the Jayant yadav becomes the first Indian to score a test hundred batting at no. 9 and with that Kohli and Jayant took India to the mark of 600 and after then they both got out to try to score quick runs and India was all out on 631 after their 1st innings .
England started their innings just before tea but bad day continued for them and Jennings, centurion from last innings, judged LBW on his very first ball . After that Root and Cook tried to attack but cook was trapped by Jadeja in front of wickets on score of 18 and Moen Ali followed him to the pavilion without scoring a single run. England woe continues and at time of lunch they were 49/3 with root and Bairstow on the crease.
England started positively after lunch and Root attacked Indian spinners to bring up his 26th half century with good strike rate but Jayant yadav found up a breakthrough for India by taking up a wicket of root on a special delivery from his bank. English all rounder Ben Stokes was failed again against Ashwin’s top stuff and caught by silly point on his individual score of 18. Bairstow keep playing his shots and scored his half century. Jake ball was the last one to depart today. At the time of stumps Bairstow (50)* was there on the crease with the total score of 182/6 on the board.
India is now in form of test match, by extension the series. England would love to cross that lead runs mark to escape from the innings defeat and India is looking to claim up the series win with one test match left in 5 match series.
