After day 2, Mumbai test match between England and India both are well balanced because of good performances from both sides. Butler (76 ) helped England to post 400 on the board in first innings and Indian batsmen are showing stability too in return
In first session of day 2 Butler attacked Indian bowler with his fancy play and helped England to move towards big total in 1st innings. Ashwin dismissed stokes early morning with flighted delivery and completed his 23rd five wicket haul . After that Jadeja took responsibility to finish up the England’s down order and he took 4 scalps where Ashwin starred again with 6 wickets in his account to wrap up England on 400.
After good performance in batting England was looking for good bowling performance too but they were counter attacked by Murali Vijay and KL Rahul .Indian openers were very stable and positive from the very beginning and faced English pace attack with ease. KL Rahul , who was coming back into the team after injury , attempted a poor drive and was bowled through the bat and pad gap on 24. After that Pujara and Vijay played very sensibly by generating the 107* partnership between them. Murali Vijay silences his critics after positive half century and was batting at 63* at the time of stumps with Pujara (47* ) on total of 146/1 .
Moeen Ali was the only bowler who got wicket in front of his name from England side. England bowlers have to go extra ordinary to suppress Indian batsmen on day 3 where India is all set towards big total with all aces left in their bank. On day 3 all eyes will be on the English spin attack and on Indian batting.
