Day 3 Preview
The day 3 of the Wimbledon 2017 features matches of the British No. 1s, Andy Murray and Johanna Konta on the centre court. Konta played on the Court 1 in the first round match but now will be seen playing the opening match on the centre court on day 3 of the grass-court grand slam with the ATP World No.1 Andy Murray’s match to follow.
Konta faces Donna Vekic in her Round 2 match while the No.1 seed Andy Murray continues his quest for the title defence against Dustin Brown.
Even the in-form Spaniard who eased through his first round opponent in a straight set win, Rafael Nadal will also be seen featuring on the Centre Court playing the last game of the day on that court. He will be taking on the American, Donald Young in Round 2. The match should once again prove to be an easy pass for Rafael Nadal citing his red hot form.
Meanwhile, the Court 1 sees plays from Kei Nishikori, Venus Williams and the Romanian Simona Halep. All the three players are the strong favourites in their respective matches tomorrow. Nishikori will be playing the opening match of the Court 1 against the Ukranian, Sergiy Stakhovsky. While Williams and Halep will be taking on Qiang Wang and Beatriz Haddad Maia respectively.
We have two more Brits in action as Heather Watson opens Court 2 again ladies no.18 seed Anastasija Sevastova from Latvia.
