Federer said that the Vapor X would be lighter than its predecessors Vapor 9 and Vapor 9.5, making it perfect for athletes on the court as well as for daily use. Federer said in a press release, “The Vapor 9 was a great shoe from the beginning. Tinker Hatfield did a great job of understanding exactly what I was looking for: a combination of a tennis shoe and a jogging shoe. The Vapor X is lighter than the 9 and 9.5. It is an evolution, the next generation.”
The shoes will be available for sale on a limited number from December 23 on Nike.com and the range will start fro $295 and will go all the way up to $400.
