Serbian Novak Djokovic and Switzerland’s Stan Wawrinka will be making a comeback at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship exhibition event this December in Abu Dhabi.
Djokovic retired in July after losing in quarter-final against Czech player Tomas Berdych at Wimbledon , shortly ended his season owing to a right elbow injury.
Stan Wawrinka also took retirement before US Open and he also ended his season due to a knee injury. Now after a long injury break, both players are ready to return to the court in Abu Dhabi.
Rafa Nadal, Austrian Dominic Thiem, Spain’s Pablo Carreno Busta, and Canadian Milos Raonic will also participate in the Mubadala World Tennis Championship (MWTC) tournament from 28 to 30 December.
Djokovic : I am extremely excited to return to Abu Dhabi for the fifth time and take part in the 10th Edition of the Championship. It is a huge honour to take part in such a special tournament.
The line-up is very strong as always and it will be the perfect way to make my comeback and begin the season. Abu Dhabi is an amazing place and this is going to be a great event for all of the fans.
