Premier League : Manchester United gain hard earned victory at Watford

Ashley Young managed to throw Manchester United into the lead by bagging a double against watford in the first 25 minutes. Just moments later  Anthony Martial secured a third goal for the Red Devils  as Watford began to show cracks defensively.
Watford determined not to get defeated came out strong in the second half securing their first goal of the match with a penalty taken by Troy Deeney.
A late goal by Abdoulaye Doucouré begins to give Watford fans hope of securing a point, however Man United gained three points as Jesse Lingard grabbed a goal with only 4 minutes remaining.
Wing-Back Young stunned the crowds as his first goal fires straight into the back of the net, with the assist by Lingard from outside the box who was passed the ball by Romelu Lukaku as he did well to control the ball in the middle of the pitch before setting up Lingard.
Young’s second goal came from a confident free kick, as he curled the ball scoring a sensational shot straight into the top left-hand corner securing that Man United were in the lead 2-0.
The third goal conceded by Watford came from Martial as he was assisted the ball by Lukaku just outside the box, to which he sprinted into the box beating the challenge made by Heurelho Gomes and then scoring a nice side-footed goal.
Watford came back stronger in the second half gaining more possession of the ball than in the first half before scoring their first goal of the match through a penalty. The penalty was given to Watford as Marcos Rojo brought down Roberto Pereyra in the right-hand side of the Man United box leaving the referee no chance. The penalty was taken by Deeney who slips a goal past David De Gea into the bottom left hand corner of the net.
In the 84th minute Watford were still fighting hard to leave the match with just one point as Doucoure bags a second goal for the team following a great assist by André Carrillo, giving fans hope that Watford were right back in the match. But Man United attacked back scoring a forth goal with only 4 minutes remaining of the match, as Lingard sprinted through the middle of the pitch as he easily passes three watford player he fires a brilliant strike straight into the back of the net, giving the Red Devils another 2 goal lead.
This victory sees United getting closer to the Premier Leagues leaders Man City but can Pep Guardiola’s team pull away again as they have a game in hand against Southampton on Wednesday night.
