With the transfer season is at its peak, the hot topic of the town is the Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez. Manchester City and Bayern Munich are the two top clubs, battling it out for the Arsenal’s forward.
Sanchez has still not extended his contract and there is little sign that he is about to extend his contract. The public shows of frustration, a training ground spat with team-mates, the vague public statements clearlypoint towards a transfer.
Bayern have already offered a lucrative o £40million offer but if sources are to be believed then Sanchez has set his heart on a reunion with Guardiola.
Pep Guardiola has made the Arsenal striker one of his top targets this summer though he has not yet ruled out a move for Monaco’s KylianMbappe either.
Alexis Sanchez fears Arsenal will block him moving to Manchester City, leaving Bayern Munich as his only option. Arsenal is determined not to sell to a Premier League rival as they would not like to strengthen a rival team. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has already insisted they could be willing to allow Sanchez run down his contract and leave for free next year rather than sell to City or Chelsea. Arsenal still have not given up on keeping Sanchez though, who was their top scorer last season with 22 goals. But Arsenal’s transfer history suggests they will sell, rather than take a heavy financial loss.
Bayern are losing hope fearing that he would prefer to stay in the Premier League.
It will be interesting to see the outcome of this transfer battle
