Gul Panag is now first Indian woman to race in Formula E after becoming a pilot

Gul Panag proved she had more than a heart just for acting when she became a licensed pilot in November 2016 and announced the same on Instagram. Gul Panag is known for being an independent woman with many achievements to her name, an all-rounder who is an inspiration to women universally. Being a pilot, she also has a love for cars and bikes; and not surprisingly, she added another achievement to her bevy of trophies – becoming the first Indian woman to drive a Formula E racing car.

Gul Panag drove the Formula E racing car in Barcelona, Spain and posted the pictures and video on Instagram. The star was seen at the garage, getting suited up near the Formula E car and finally in a recorded video of her driving the car out.

Driving a racing car involves great deal of physical fitness and training and the daredevil actress was up for the challenge. Talking to a popular daily about this latest achievement, an elated Panag said, “I feel privileged to know that I am amongst very few people in the world to drive this car, on what is only its second outing. I felt like I was driving the future.”

A beauty queen, an actress, activist, pilot and now a professional racer. Is there anything this wonder woman cannot do?
