England mounted to the 2nd spot in the ICC T20 I team rankings with 121 points and are 4 points behind the table toppers, the Blackcaps who have 125 points to their name.
The Pakistani’s too are at 121 points but are at the 3rd position followed by the 2007 T20 World Cup champions; team India who have lost six points and are now at the 4th spot with 118 points.
The Proteas have slipped to the 5th spot but are still ahead of the Aussies by a point who are at the 6th spot. The former Champions, West Indies are at the 7th spot who lead with a handful 14 points from the Sri Lanka’s who are at the 8th spot with 98 points.
Amongst the non test playing nations Afghanistan are at the 9th spot and ahead of the Bangladeshi’s who are at the 10 spot. Scotland is at the 11th spot and the Netherlands are at the 14th.
Australia and the next nine highest-ranked sides on the ICC T20I Team Rankings will qualify automatically for the ICC World Twenty20 2020 which will be held in Australia.
The bottom eight sides on the team rankings will get a second chance to qualify for the seventh edition of the tournament when they will join the regional qualifiers in the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier 2019. Six sides will qualify from the qualifier to complete the 16-team line-up.
