London Terror attack : Match Security Tightened ahead of India Vs Pakistan match

Britain was again hit by a terror attack on Saturday night (June 3) with three incidents at London Bridge and in nearby Borough Market and Vauxhall. A high speeding van mowed down pedestrians in “potential act of terrorism”.

Security has been beefed up in Edgbaston for the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 match between India and Pakistan following the terrorist attack in London, which killed six people while three attackers were shot dead. According to reports, the two cricket associations – the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have been briefed about the security measures by the relevant agencies.

Cricket boards of both countries BCCI and PCB have been duly informed and asked to remain panic free by the UK intelligence
