Day 2 for Indian side was brilliant as kohli made his double century after hitting a century on day 1 and became the 1st player to score 200s in 4 successive series Saha also smashed his 2nd test century to put Bangladesh in the back seat. Kohli and Rahane were looking steady from the morning session of day 2 , and by keeping their brilliant form they both punished every Bangladeshi bowler with ease.
Rahane scored his fifty but failed to turn that into century, by losing his wicket on score of 82. After that wicket, Saha joined the Indian captain and played his shots with ease. Kohli scored his double century after lunch break and became the first batsmen in the history of tests to score four double centuries in four consecutive series. After getting his double century he was judged LBW and departs on the score of 204 with the 493/ 4 on the board. Ashwin again showed good hands but got out on 34 but Saha was rock solid at that time on the crease and scored his century in a quick session. Jadeja also scored his fifth half century with few dropped chances.
Indian team declared their 1st inning on 687/6 and Bangladesh was 41/1 at the time of stumps. On day 3 India will eye to give follow on to Bangladesh and on the other side Bangladesh will try to build up a big score in their first test match on Indian soil.
