Team India to participate in Champions Trophy

The Committee of Administrators (CoA) met the members of state association in Delhi on Saturday to reconfirm their status regarding to India participation in the Champions Trophy and with respect to Members Participation Agreement (MPA).

The BCCI made the decision at a Special General Meeting in New Delhi, where it was also announced that the squad for the eight-team event, starting June 1, will be picked on Monday.

It was decided that no legal recourse will be taken against the International Cricket Council as per the diktat of the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators. CoA reminded that negotiations are the only way out and they should bargain hard, and members were largely in agreement. BCCI may seek a tally of $400-450m from ICC.
