India captain Mithali Raj: I think Harmanpreet (Singh)’s innings was exceptional. Jhulan (Goswami) has come back to her rhythm. Even the spinners are doing well. After losing to South Africa, we came back against new zealand and now beat Australia. We have players who are of international standards. We have a new Woman of the Match standing up in every game which is wonderful. Smrithi (Mandhana) scored a century in the opening game. Punam (Raut) got one and Harmanpreet Kaur today. (about Kaur’s fitness) I’m sure she will be fit and want to paly in the finals. All of us are excited about the finals at Lord’s. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of the finals.

Australia captain Meg Lanning: I thought the innings from Kaur was incredible. Well done to the Indians. Blackwell was hitting it really well at the end there but we couldn;t do it at the start. Her knock was outstanding. I don’t think we nailed a full game at any stage. We had glimpses with the bat and ball but nothing much beyond that. The same thing happened today. All in all, a disappointing tournament for us.

Harmanpreet Kaur is the player of the match.

Kaur: I’m feeling proud. Really proud of my team. It was a really great effort. I’m looking forward to the finals now. We’ll give England a good fight. I’m always happy if my innings help the team win games. I appreciate the efforts of the support staff and the support of fans from India. When we started from Bombay (Mumbai) we wanted to reach the semi-final, then reach the final.
