Mithali Raj, India captain: When you get those early breakthroughs at the start of the innings, today Jhulan gave us the first wicket and then the spinners came in. We really pulled ourselves in the middle overs where we bowled a lot of dots. The generation now, you need to have more all-rounders in the side. (So) It’s always good to have 2-3 all-rounders in the side. The pressure which I felt in my earlier years is reducing. Now I feel I can play my game. (When asked whether she would bowl in the World Cup) I thought I could bowl the last over today. But the margin was too less for a bowler like me. Maybe if the margin is too big for the opposition (in future), I might roll my arm.
Inoka Ranaweera, Sri Lanka captain: We have had good matches against India (previously). So we are disappointed today and we hope to do well in the next game. Sripali Weerakkody bowled well today, happy with her.
