Champions Trophy 2017 : Yuvraj Singh and Rohit Sharma to miss warm-up against New Zealand

India and New Zealand will look to get some practice under their belt in English conditions when they square off in the warm-up at Kennington Oval on Sunday. Both the teams will try their possible combinations in order to put the best eleven before heading into the group matches as all the 15 players can play in the warm-up match.

Rohit is expected to bat at the top of the order with Shikhar Dhawan despite not opening the innings for Mumbai Indians during the entire Indian Premier League.

Rohit will join the team in England today. He was allowed by the BCCI to attend a family wedding on Saturday, according to a report in ESPNCricinfo. While it’s a different format, Rohit will certainly need to make some mental adjustments of facing the new ball first-up.

Yuvraj Singh , who is presently down with viral fever will also miss the first warm match against New Zealand which provides an opportunity for players like Dinesh Karthik and Kedar Jadhav to show their talent with the bat and make a permanent place in the side for rest of the tournament.
